Pick the Next PPP State Poll

Our friends over at Public Policy Polling are letting their readers choose their next freebie state poll of hot (or potentially hot) 2010 races. So please take a moment to drop by the PPP blog and cast your vote. The choices this time are Connecticut, Delaware, and Texas — a very difficult choice to make, indeed.

Tell us how you voted in the comments!

  1. I explained why in PPP’s comments: “Not only does a Biden-Castle and Castle-Carney race look like definite possibilities (it looks like we’ll have at least one of the two), but everyone in DE has heard about all three of these politicians – and that would make an early poll there very valuable (compared to the TX surveys which are sure to have lots and lots of undecided voters!)”

  2. See how Bill White and John Sharp perform.

In Delaware, I don’t think Mike Castle, a guy whose suffered two strokes and would be 71 on election day is running for US Senate. But it would be interesting to see the numbers on a Biden-Carney match-up.

  3. I see DE as an easy Dem hold, and TX as easy Rep holds, so CT is the most interesting to me.  If Dodd is in trouble, it would be an important offset to the gains I expect in (at minimum) NC, NH, KY, OH, and MO.

  4. i think the dodd stuff is way to chumped up. simmons dosent stand a chance and i dont see rell jumpin in at all, shes actually a pretty good governor. when biden gets in the sen race, its his and we all know it. tx is the only really compititave one. my vte goes there

  5. A little self interest as I live in Texas.  Also, although the Texas Senate race may be a little premature, I’m extremely interested in the Texas gubernatorial primary between Perry and Hutchison.  I view it as a battle for the future direction of the Republican party.  It will be a fascinating race to watch.

  6. That’s what I’d ask to poll.  Also, Schumer and Hoyer have / are campaigned / campaigning for Murphy in NY-20.

  7. are both really impressive candidates, but it does feel a little like the democratic version of NJ, where we can get good poll #s early, but by election day the GOP voters go back to their disgusting old habits.

carney/castle would be great.  who knows?  a few polls showing carney within 5 points and maybe castle decides to call it a career…
